Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the Kameti app and the kameti.in website. In short: be honest with your circle, and understand that Kameti is the ledger — not the bank.

1. What Kameti is
Kameti is a technology platform that helps private groups of people who know each other run a rotating savings circle (a "circle"). Kameti keeps records, schedules, and confirmations. Kameti is not a party to your circle, does not hold or transfer money, and is not a chit fund company or a financial institution.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate sign-in details (your mobile number). You are responsible for keeping access to your device and account secure.
3. Circles and your responsibilities to members
A circle is an arrangement between its members. You agree that: (a) you will only join circles with people you know; (b) contributions and payouts are commitments you make to other members, not to Kameti; (c) Kameti records what members confirm, and is not a referee for honest disagreements beyond the records it keeps.
4. Payments
All payments happen directly between members (UPI or cash). Kameti never holds, pools, transmits, or refunds money. See the refunds policy for the one narrow case where it applies.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use Kameti to run a public or commercial scheme, solicit strangers, or collect money for yourself under a false circle.
- Do not misuse the service: no scraping, reverse engineering, attempts to breach or overload it, or use of another person's data without their consent.
- Do not use Kameti for unlawful purposes, including money laundering or financing prohibited activities.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and you may stop using Kameti at any time. We can also retire the service with reasonable notice; your circle's data remains exportable until then.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". Records depend on members confirming truthfully. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kameti is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses arising from circle members' conduct or from tax, legal, or regulatory issues affecting your circle. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of the city where the operator is registered have exclusive jurisdiction — subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Kameti after that means you accept them.
These terms are provided for review and are not legal advice. For how private circles differ from regulated chit funds, read Kameti & chit funds.
